Dr. Christopher Stevenson

He has a Ph.D. and M.A. in anthropology from Pennsylvania State University and a B.A. in anthropology and sociology from Marquette University. His research explores how soil quality, climate, and other factors shape the agricultural productivity of a place.

In the past he has led Earthwatch Expeditions on Easter Island to investigate prehistoric rock gardening (a technique that helps keep soil from eroding).

At his home in Virginia, he grows his own grapes and makes his own wine.

Ivana Adzic

Ivana was our Field Team Leader. She currently lives in Virginia with her husband and dog, but will soon be relocating to Colorado.

Born in Bosnia, Ivana is a recent graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a major in Anthropology. Her research focuses on field archaeology, and she is pursuing her Masters degree in the School of World Studies.

She is an American Citizen who has served several tours of duty in the US Army and is a trained medic. She also graduated from Le Cordon Bleu as a Pastry Chef.
