PEX plumbing project

This all started when we bought a new refrigerator and wanted to run a water supply up to it for the ice maker. It would have been no big deal to splice a valve in to the existing copper but, after I got to looking, I decided the old system had some serious problems and was in need of an upgrade.

It really surprised me how cheap it was to do this. It would have been really cheap to stick with the original idea of using HydroPEX Crimp Fittings but when I saw the pretty and shiny SharkBite Push-Fit Fittings I just couldn't resist. The only crimp fittings I ended up useing were the valves at the ends where the faucet connects because the SharkBite Stops weren't available here.
